Noritaka




The man, the legend Noritaka aka Meganeyro aka Glassesman has been an incredible friend to me, Showing me some of the best parts of Japan, finding me places to stay, driving me back and forth to various places (including Tokyo) and has introduced me to his plethora of interesting friends.




Both of us have kind of been teaching each other our respective languages but it has never felt like hard work, (you see kids... learning can be fun!!!). It helps that there also an unspoken understanding between us. We have bonded very well and my biggest mistake was suggesting that there may be the possibility of me staying in Japan for a further 6 months. Noritaka was very excited by this and immedietly offered me his place to stay and then shortly after the NZ placement came through and we were both very dissapointed.




Fortunately we have the wonderful power of technology and 'Skype' conversations are held every other evening. He wants to come to England and it will be a huge task for me to make his time as enjoyable as he has made mine.... But I will try.
